Though the rear camera is quite low resolution, Samsung as always does a good job with image processing so colors are good and exposure is decent.

Reviews Word on the street for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) LTE I915

7.1
The 3 megapixel camera and its LED flash are positioned on the on the top rear of the slab, and it's actually one of the better shooters I've seen on a tablet.

7.0
As you'd expect from the TI OMAP 4430 CPU, benchmarks are just better than half of those from quad core tablets.

8.0
Viewing angles are great, contrast is excellent and colour reproduction is very vivid.

8.0
The 10.1-inch, 1280x800 screens provides a decent display for you to gorge on your favourite videos, images, games and social networks.

7.0
The LCD underneath it is a crisp 1,024x600-pixel resolution, which is on par with the iPad, but since the screen is about half the size, the pixel density is much tighter.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

Resolution is the usual 1280 x 800 and the capacitive touch screen is responsive.
by MobileTechReview (May, 2012)
The display is top notch with vivid colors, sharp text and plenty of brightness to tackle a bright room.
by MobileTechReview (Jun, 2011)
The tablet has a GPS and the display is bright enough to be used in a car, though you’ll need some form of cellular data (a smartphone with the WiFi mobile hotspot feature) to download map data and directions on the go.

Apps

One of the biggest rivals to Apple's iTunes crown, the 7 Digital store offers a wide selection of music to suit all tastes, although not quite as many as Apple's version.
by TechRadar (Dec, 2012)
Samsung Apps is a portal to Samsung apps (surprise) and third party apps.
by MobileTechReview (Jun, 2011)
If productivity is your thing, you'll be happy to know that the Tab's calendar and e-mail apps readily took to our Gmail and Exchange accounts.

Operating System

Adobe Flash is supported here, as it is on most Android devices, and even though it's soon to be replaced by HTML 5, there's still a whole host of sites which use it to display various content including videos – the BBC is a prime example, giving it a clear advantage over the iPad 2.
by TechRadar (Dec, 2012)
Aside from the widescreen form factor, every part of this sleek Android Honeycomb 3.1 tablet's look is geared to go head-to-head with Apple's iOS big boy.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
And Samsung has been beavering away at the Android update to Jelly Bean, meaning we're now seeing Android 4.1.1, which comes with a glut of new features on the interface front.
by TechRadar (Dec, 2012)

Camera

As well as shunning the option of a flash, Samsung has decided not to include auto-focus, tap to focus or a digital zoom to the camera on the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
by TechRadar (Dec, 2012)
On the back of the Tab you'll see a smooth black plastic back and a more impressive 3-megapixel camera with an integrated flash.
by c|net (Nov, 2010)
The tablet has a front 2.0 megapixel video chat camera and a rear 3 megapixel camera with LED flash.
by MobileTechReview (Jun, 2011)

Operating system

We've seen other Android tablets this same size, but none running Android 2.2 with Market support.
by c|net (Nov, 2010)
Slimmer and lighter than an iPad 2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 proves that Android tablets don't have to be iOS's ugly sisters.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
With an Android tablet, you’re just as likely to want to transfer MS Office files, video taken with the tablet’s camera and other non-Windows Media Player content.
