Not satisfied with the navigational benefits of a great capacitive touchscreen, Samsung has also plugged-in some motion-based nav commands.

Reviews Word on the street for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

7.0
Taking another page from the iPad 2's school of sexy tablet building, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has one of the cleanest designs we've seen in a tablet.

8.0
Viewing angles are great, contrast is excellent and colour reproduction is very vivid.

8.0
The 3 megapixel camera and its LED flash are positioned on the on the top rear of the slab, and it's actually one of the better shooters I've seen on a tablet.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

In fact, while looking at this very site, the orange box looked a bit brighter on the Tab's display.
by The Verge (Jun, 2011)
Using the automatic brightness setting the Tab keeps its backlighting fairly muted.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
These take you back a step, jump straight to the home screen, access recent apps and grab a shot of what's currently on-screen.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)

Operating System

If you're in the market for an Android tablet, the Tab 10.1 is hands down the sleekest money can buy.
by The Verge (Jun, 2011)
That style isn't for everyone, though, so those looking for a tricked-out Android tablet with all the fixings would be better off with the Toshiba Thrive or Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
by c|net (May, 2011)
The screen surround is plastic too, rather than the metal seen in some other top-end Android tabs, but this doesn't lead to a remotely cheap feel.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)

Operating system

Aside from the widescreen form factor, every part of this sleek Android Honeycomb 3.1 tablet's look is geared to go head-to-head with Apple's iOS big boy.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
Slimmer and lighter than an iPad 2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 proves that Android tablets don't have to be iOS's ugly sisters.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
It's still a fast OS, with plenty of customization options.
by c|net (May, 2011)

Apps

Apple still has superior support for games, apps, music, and movies.
by c|net (May, 2011)
The selection has gotten somewhat better, but for me personally, there's still a lack of solid news, Twitter, and general tablet apps that can compete with the ones I have on my iPad.
by The Verge (Jun, 2011)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a Google Experience tablet, meaning it uses the base version of Honeycomb 3.1, with no customizations to its interface; however, Samsung does include its Samsung Apps, um, app.

Camera

The 3-megapixel rear camera took high-quality pictures for a tablet camera, with a high sharpness and color vibrancy.
by c|net (May, 2011)
The 8-megapixel rear camera took high-quality pictures for a tablet camera, with a sharpness and level of color vibrancy that was unmatched.
by c|net (May, 2011)
Naturally, the main snapper supports auto-focus, and it is nice to see that an LED flash has been added to help out in low-light situations.
