We love the full size USB port that doesn't tie up the charging port, and battery life is solid.

Reviews Word on the street for the Lenovo ThinkPad 8

7.0
We're particularly impressed with handwriting recognition in Notes Mobile- this is a standard feature for Windows tablets but not for pen-toting Android tablets.

7.3
As you might expect, Lenovo's top-of-the-line Android tablet comes with an impressive spec sheet.

7.0
Our final conclusion is that this tablet is better than many other Android models, mostly because of the extra ports and the business apps, but the larger size and weight make it a runner-up to Apple and Samsung models.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

It almost feels and looks like a small LCD from a Lenovo laptop, only at a 10 inch size.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
Lenovo uses the same IPS technology on the Apple iPad 2 that makes the screen viewable at a sharp angle.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
Many of the other interface features are standard - you can drop widgets onto the main screens.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)

Operating System

From a design standpoint, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet feels a bit chunky and is reminiscent of older slate tabs that ran on Windows Tablet PC.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
None of these stray too far from the norm - Lenovo hasn't added any extra widgets.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
We didn't have much luck with a 500 gig WD MyPassport NTFS unpowered portable drive under OS 3.2 Honeycomb but that drive worked perfectly under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
by MobileTechReview (Oct, 2011)

Apps

As you'd expect, all of the Android apps are here as well, including a light app for editing movies you've taken with the built-in camera, the Google Music app for syncing music to the cloud, a built-in Maps app that includes turn-by-turn navigation, and Google email, web browser and calendar apps.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
In addition to the IT tools, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet includes an app called ArcSync that enables you to synchronise documents, music files, photos and videos to a website, then sync the same media to your phone and computer.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
There's also an AppVerse feature within Lenovo's App Shop, which is designed to help you find the best apps.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)

Operating system

The tablet is loaded with extra software.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
The software transforms your letters into text in real time and is capable of recognizing 27 languages.
by c|net (Oct, 2011)
The buttons to the right of the screen are all repeated as software buttons, and our focus tended to stay on the screen.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)

Battery

What puts this tablet ahead of the pack is the use of a high-quality IPS screen with excellent viewing angles and a rated battery life of 8.9 hours.
by c|net (Oct, 2011)
The eight-hour battery life is about what we'd expect from a 10-inch tablet - the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet lasted all day and them some for typical web browsing and email activities.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2011)
As expected, when we watched several episodes of The Killing one after the other, with the display turned up bright so we could see what was happening, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet only lasted for about four hours of continuous playback.
