The web browser is the standard Android edition too, but the browsing experience should be just about perfect as the capacitive touchscreen feels very responsive and full Flash 10.3 support is in.

Reviews Word on the street for the Huawei MediaPad

8.0
Even Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has confessed that he personally prefers Android's flexible openness to Apple's tightly closed and controlled iOS.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

That's a lot less than the Retina Display screens of the iPod touch and iPhone 4S, but it thrashes the 131dpi of the iPad and 149dpi of all the 10.1in Honeycomb tablets.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
The experience is beyond lackluster, the display is dated, and performance is just all around bad.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)
In a nutshell, this display is very meh.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)

Operating System

Huawei makes much of this being the first Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet, but that's not much of a big deal now that Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) has landed.
by TechRadar (May, 2012)
It's a well designed, more-or-less generic Android tablet, of excellent build quality, available with or without HSPA+, that will do everything you'd expect from this class of device.
by TechRadar (May, 2012)
Every Android device should ship with NFC at this point.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)

Operating system

The pre-installed software is sparse.
by TechRadar (May, 2012)
Huawei also threw their own keyboard onto the device, and I have to say, it's one of the worst software keyboards I've ever used.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)
The branding on the back suggests portrait, yet the software and volume rockers are laid out otherwise.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)

Cpu

Sadly, The processor in this little guy just can't handle the zombie apocalypse.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)
The Huawei MediaPad features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM, which should make it at least as powerful as Tegra 2 models such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
Just for fun, I ran an AnTuTu benchmark.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)

Camera

It didn't help that I had to focus on this screen after seeing the beautiful 2560x1600 panel on the Nexus 10, buy hey - that's today's standard.
by Android Police (Nov, 2012)
The camera interface is the Honeycomb standard, predictably.
by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
The color reproduction is decent for what it is - basically what you'd expect from IPS.
