Asus Eee Pad MeMo spotted on its way back to CES

by Alan F. |

A 5MP camera captures video at 1080p, while those who like to snap self-portraits or use video chat can use the 1.3MP front facing shooter.
It's been a year since the Asus Eee Pad MeMo left its mark on the CES in Las Vegas.
The slate was planned to launch with Honeycomb, then Asus decided to add 3D and a stylus, and finally, it seems, they just kept the design and are now planning to release the 7-inch MeMo sans 3D and on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
We’ve been hearing about the ASUS Eee Pad MeMo for around a year now - it was first unveiled at CES last year, but since then it underwent a couple of transformations.
Thus the Asus Eee Pad MeMO 3D might be pushed for some time in 2012, or be cancelled altogether, if the issues don't receive a prompt and cheap resolution.
While Asus is not the only manufacturer delaying its 7" Honeycomb tablet, as Google just recently updated its tablet OS for this size, it will still be sad to see an innovative form factor like a 7-incher with 3D overlay go the way of the Dodo bird.
