On top of that, it helps that it’s very responsive to the touch and offers a good auto-correct feature to keep us moving at a steady pace.

Reviews Word on the street for the Asus MeMO Pad HD 7

The music setting works best with vocal-centered music that isn't overproduced.

Display It’s not as dazzling as the new screen on the Nexus 7, but the 7-inch LED backlit 1280 x 800 IPS display of the MeMo Pad HD 7 is pleasing enough with its quality.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Its performance is meekly mediocre, and consistent lagging combined with a sometimes unresponsive touch screen make the tablet best suited for simple tasks like browsing and reading.
by c|net (Jul, 2013)
Thanks to its good brightness output, it doesn’t wash out too much when viewed outdoors with the sun present.
by PhoneArena (Aug, 2013)
The screen's responsiveness to touch wasn't always on point.
by c|net (Jul, 2013)

There’s nothing out of the ordinary with its music player, since it’s just the usual Google Play Music app that’s preloaded on the tablet.
by PhoneArena (Aug, 2013)
Some of the apps that are geared towards family use include App Locker, which allows you to put passwords on specific apps; Asus Artists, where you can create "paintings" or greeting cards; and Asus Story, which helps you organize your photos into albums, or as they call them, "stories.
by c|net (Jul, 2013)
When activated, a small menu pops up above the navigation bar that contains a selection of floating apps that you can quickly access without having to close whatever app you're currently using.
by c|net (Jul, 2013)

Color reproduction is pretty good for the most part – quite similar to the original N7, in fact – and the viewing angles are excellent.
by Android Police (Aug, 2013)
The tablet has a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera with a rear 5-megapixel shooter on the back.
by c|net (Jul, 2013)
Neither of the cameras were impressive.

Operating System

The modified shade also combines the dual notification pulldowns of stock Android 4.2+ for a single, centered pane, much like what was seen in Android 4.1 on small tablets.
by Android Police (Aug, 2013)
That said, it probably won't satisfy the most hardcore of Android users – but that's not who this device is intended for.
by Android Police (Aug, 2013)
In the past, ASUS has gone with a mostly-stock-Android approach – everything from the original Transformer to the more recent Infinity have been stock-ish with a slight tweak to the notification area (and even that was easily disabled in the Settings menu).
by Android Police (Aug, 2013)

Operating system

The hardware inside the 7 HD works surprisingly well, and, when combined with ASUS' software modifications (more on that below), makes this an exceptional tablet for the price.
by Android Police (Aug, 2013)
ASUS' software customizations are also useful and well thought-out, which just adds to the overall value of the device.
by Android Police (Aug, 2013)
Some of them are surprisingly useful, and none are all that overbearing, but if you're an Android purist their inclusion will likely make you a little uncomfortable.

Thanks for the heads up, making these changes now and they'll show up within the day.
There are a few errors in the specs: 16 GB internal storage Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n has GPS with A-GPS
Your link to amazon above is not for the memo pad hd 7 with a quad core processor, but for the earlier model with a dual processor. The hd 7 still costs $150.
