Reviews Word on the street for the Acer Iconia Tab A211

Still, when compared to its bigger brother, we actually prefer this one so much more because of its better build quality and overall performance.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Operating System

On top of the stock Android is the light and likable Acer Ring.
by PhoneArena (Apr, 2013)
Interestingly, part of the reason why this tablet is considerably faster than previous ones, it probably has something to do with the fact that it features Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)
The Acer Iconia Tab A210 is a Wi-Fi-only tablet that ships with the stock Android browser.
by PhoneArena (Apr, 2013)

The screen could be still okay if it delivered vibrant, rich colors.
by PhoneArena (Apr, 2013)
At the same time, our eyes dig its deep color tones when looking at the display straight on.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)
It costs much less and offers a drastically better screen and again double the memory.
by PhoneArena (Apr, 2013)

Although it’s nice looking and all, it doesn’t particularly add anything beneficial besides the fact that you can group apps according to category.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)
Choice is nice, and that’s exactly what we’re given with the tablet’s music players, which features the stock Honeycomb one and the nemoPlayer.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)
Being a tablet platform and all, most of the core apps utilize the familiar two-panel layout that we’re so accustomed to seeing – like what’s found with the Calendar, Contacts, and Gmail apps.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)

When it’s sunny outside, it’s able to capture some accurate looking colors with its images, but we’re not thrilled by its flat details – though, it excels with macro shots.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)
Aside from the pretty design that’s splashed on its back, there is a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera prominently highlighted by its large lens and chrome border – and its LED flash is perched nearby.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2011)
Meanwhile, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera is positioned above the display.

Operating system

Acer’s changes to stock Android start from the lock screen where a swipe to the right would familiarly unlock the device, but you can also slide to the left directly into one of four predefined apps like the Browser, Gmail, Gallery app and Google Now.
by PhoneArena (Apr, 2013)
On top of that versatility comes a slightly skinned version of Android with the likable Acer Ring UI and a couple of neat apps for image and video consumption.
